The path then ascends to Warden Hill, an Iron Age hill fort, where panoramic views of southwest Northumberland can be enjoyed. The expansive landscapes provide an excellent opportunity to take in the surrounding countryside. Descending from Warden Hill, the route passes through the picturesque village of High Warden, known for its stone houses and seasonal flowers such as snowdrops.

A short distance from Quality Cottage, The Boatside Inn offers a convenient place to pause for a drink or meal. This welcoming pub serves a selection of food and drinks in a dog-friendly environment, making it an ideal stop before heading back to Quality Cottage.

The final stretch of the walk leads back to Quality Cottage, where guests can relax after their countryside adventure. Whether unwinding by the fire, enjoying a cup of tea, or simply admiring the views, the cottage provides a cosy retreat at the end of the day.

The Warden Hill Circular Walk includes a steady climb and may have muddy sections, especially in wet weather. Suitable footwear and clothing are recommended for a comfortable walking experience.
